I have been wondering for quite some time. What would be your last meal before you die?
Thinking hard and through, and after asking quite a number of people about it, I was quite appalled that their answers are those of simple fare and comfort food. Dishes like Hokkien Mee, Fishball noodles, Curry chicken and Chili crab all comes to mind. I guess it comes to show that elaborate and fancy cuisines like foie gras and lobster are not even in their top 10 even amongst the wealthy.
For myself basically, the one and only thing I would just love to have is purely a simple and good plate of Hainanese Curry Rice consisting of Braised Pork, Omelette, meat loaf and not forgetting the stewed cabbage topped with a generous amount of thick curry on rice. It is pure simplicity and flavor at its best.
Then comes another question. What are your favorite meats, vegetables, etc.? I could not help but to endlessly question myself this as I have been talking about food at work recently. Food is something of a passion. For some reason, I am willing to spend loads of money just purely on food alone. Just for the amazing experience and the powerful sensation of flavors bursting out in your tastebuds.
So, what would be your last meal before you fuck off from this world??
