wah siao sia... i now a bit scared of food liao... like SERIOUSLY!!!!

I kinda had a bit of indigestion yesterday... so i have not had anything to eat since lunch yesterday... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! so basically, i skipped dinner and breakfast... I think i may be skipping lunch too!!!! cannot la!!! stomach very full leh!!!

Anywho, on another note, I wanna blog the pictures that we took at Shangri-la that day!!!! However, lazy ol' me decided nah... lets slp more... LOL!!! maybe i shall blog the pictures later... THEY WERE AWESOME SIA!!!! LIKE TOTALLY!!!! LOL!!!!!

This is a mini review on the line (THE BUFFET RESTAURANT @ SHANGRI-LA WHICH COSTS $70)....

Being quite a person who is particular about the art of food and wine, I give this establishment 3/5 stars out of 5.

However, i give a full rating for its decor. You would probably see why later when i blog WITH the pictures.

The food was quite a wide varietial spread. With cuisines covering 16 stations, one is spoilt for choice. The 16 stations comprised mainly of

1) A Fresh shellfish station
2) A Japanese Sashimi/sushi station
3) A Salad station
4) A Pasta station with Italian dishes
5) Western cuisine Hot Dishes
6) Local station with local delights
7) A Dim Sum station
8) A Chinese cooked food station
9) An Indian Tandoori station
10) A Noodle counter
11) A Carving station
12) A Cheese station
13) An Ice Cream Station
14) A Crepe station
15) A Dessert section
16) A CHOCOLATE FONDUE STATION

Basically, if you are one who likes to try a wide variety of food items, this is a good place to go. However, if you are also intent about the quality of the taste of the food items, you will not be astonished. Without a doubt, the flavour of the dishes served at the buffet was indeed quite a pleasant experience. However, given the steep price, you would somehow wonder, why isn't there more? The tasting experience of the dishes was good, but nothing exciting or fresh. The concept of the place was indeed a good one whereby the ambience represented the powerhouse of current restaurant decor trends now, Urban & Chic. Decor and ambience in my opinion, is a vital part as a visual element to attract tasters to the dining establishment. Service is rather prompt. However, the few of us who went to dine there had been irritated by the fact that no new cutlery was replaced after they had cleared our used cutlery and we had to walk over to request from the service staff some more cutlery. Besides that small factor, service was good as our water goblets are constantly topped up.

I had picked a humble Burgundian wine made from the Chablis region. A good Chardonnay wine made by Maison Joseph Drouhin. I primarily picked this $98 wine because Nic wanted a white. In addition, i kept the dishes and the budget that we were having in consideration.

My Verdict: Do go only if you have an eating space of having 3 people's portion. It is only then, that you can actually enjoy your dining experience there. Otherwise, Kuishin-Bo Japanese buffet @ Suntec is fine... =D
