The most dangerous trait in the world would be with perceptions. Perceptions are constantly changed with every passing comment and remark. However, what would maintain a firm sense of perception within an individual would be with the actual encounter of the situation by themselves.
Why are Singaporean Chinese so biased against China people? When most of the local chinese population actually originated either directly, or indirectly there. It is mainly due to the perceptions that are imprinted onto our heads that they are lazy, have a low sense of hygiene, the list would just go on. However, none has really encountered face on with the working style an attitude of a Chinese immigrant. They are indeed hardworking when there is a strong need to do so. For hygiene factors, I would list the Chinese working in a hotel as an example. They do not bathe at home. However, they bathe in the hotel's employee changing room where shower facilities are provided. They are in fact, saving more money which is quite a thrifty move.
Therefore, believe in yourself, believe in what you experience hands on. Don't be trapped into a world of mistaken opinions. Though I am a catholic cum shinto-ist, I would stress this. Kill the Buddha as you meet him. Kill the Father as you meet him. Never be intimidated nor influenced by anyone but your own heart. Live life the way you want to just because of your desires, not others.
